Ever wonder what keeps zippers and other things in place and looking nice and neat? Topstitching. Use your iron to press everything flat, and then run a line of stitching down the top of each side, close to the zipper, as shown in the photo. This will anchor all three layers together and provide support. It will also keep your zipper from looking floppy when the pouch is done.
