In Wicca, as in many other modern Pagan religions, the priesthood is accessible to anyone. There are no mandates stating that Wiccan clergy must be male or female. Because Wicca acknowledges the polarity of the masculine and feminine, either men or women may become priests. Any person who wishes to learn and study may advance into a position in the ministry within Wicca. Within most covens and traditions, leaders are called either High Priestess or High Priest, although in some they are known as Arch Priest/ess or may use the title Lord or Lady.
After twelve years of study, Willow was finally ordained as a member of the priesthood of her tradition.
