Herbal Intuition

I regularly get emails from people asking something along the lines of this: In your Herbal Image Gallery, you say that Herb X is often used for this, but I find that it works better for me if I use it for this other thing instead. Am I wrong?"

Well, no, you're not - because sometimes you have to go with your gut, and use an herb (or stone or crystal or piece of wood) in the way that resonates best with YOU, not the way a book or a website recommends you use it.

Our About.com Guide to Herb Gardens, Amy Jeanroy, has a fantastic new article about this - she refers to it as herbal intuition, and I'd say that's the perfect description. Read her article here: Learning to Use Your Herbal Intuition.

You are so right about this. Being a shall we say a mature long practicing Pagan (the Crone is beckoning but not quite there), the main things I try to impress on people starting out are: just because it is printed somewhere, it may not be correct for your practice and that YOU and your intention are the most important things for successful Magick. Bright Blessings to all!
