On April 23, 2007, the pentacle was added to the list of emblems approved by the Veteran's Association for deceased Pagan and Wiccan soldiers. Thanks to all the folks who worked so hard on the Veteran's Pentacle Quest, from the people at Circle Sanctuary who spearheaded the movement, to all of you who wrote letters, sent donations, and spread the word in hopes of raising awareness.
Of particular note is Roberta Stewart, whose husband Patrick was killed in Afghanistan, and whose name became synonymous with the movement. Most of all, we owe a debt of gratitude to Sgt. Stewart himself, and the countless others just like him, whose deaths thousands of miles away led to so many people working together for a united goal.
