New Year's Resolutions? Take the Poll!
Tuesday December 30, 2008
It's nearly New Year's, and that means for many people it's time to start thinking about what you're going to do differently in 2009. For me personally, I'm going to work on living a healthier lifestyle -- I go to the gym, but now I have a Wii Fit to inspire me as well -- and I'm going to spend time doing some nice things for myself. I figure these are reasonable and attainable goals; they're not so ridiculous that I'll start crying if I don't achieve them. What about everyone else? Got plans to change in the next twelve months, or is a New Year's Resolution just a silly waste of time?

This is the first year I am not going to be attempting any new year’s resolutions. I quit smoking over 1 1/2 years ago. I started a tremendous diet in August and have lost 54 pounds and will continue with that. Spiritual growth happens in its own time and its own way. I find that I am just going to let life happen as well and hope for love and happiness. May you all find the same in the new year. Goddess Bless, Susan Morgaine
I am going for resolutions for the first time in my life.
I never made any before having known that I would not abide by them.
I am ready now!
Blessed Be.
I love New Year resolutions. I make them and do a ritual as part of my Samhain celebration, and I make them for January 1st, as all that energy being put into making positive changes is contagious and, I believe, powerful.
I, too, have resolved to be healthier. My focus is on eating healthier, more appropriately sized portions, and on exercising regularly. I walked in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk last year, and signed up again, so, being fit and ready for walking 60 miles in three days is, also, one of my resolutions.
Divine energy abounds, and I am excited to see anyone direct it, at any time, toward a beneficial goal. Blessings Patti, for achieving yours, and to everyone as our spirits strive for growth.
I made a resolution several years ago not to make any more New Year’s resolutions. It’s the only one I’ve ever stuck to for more than a month.
