Update: Salem Racoons, Witch Wars

You may recall a few months ago when there was all kinds of hullaballoo in Salem, regarding raccoon bits left on a doorstep, a burglary, and all-around discontent between warring witches. Now it turns out the judge in the raccoon parts case has reduced the charges.
David Gavegnano, attorney for Sharon Graham, motioned that police had overcharged the Graham and another defendant because a charge of malicious destruction requires actual property damage or destruction. No damage was caused to the building when raccoon entrails, body and head were left there, according to Gavegnano, and a simple clean-up was done. Judge Richard Mori concurred, and reduced the charge to injuring or defacing property.
Prosecutor Jane Prince was not happy with this -- she argued that because a Fire Department crew had to come in due to concern over potential biohazards, this was more than just your average defacement of property. "This is not a case where you get some Fantastik and wipe it down," she said. No word yet on whether Prince will appeal Mori's ruling.

Grow up people! This is so stupid and makes witches look like cartoon jokes! The only real victim here is the poor raccoon who was murdered by some dumb arse with a grudge.
People who murder animals and call themselves witches are nothing more than posers. True witches would never harm anyone! Throw her in jail and lose the key!
What about charges of animal cruelty? What did the raccoon do to deserve this?
These people seriously need to grow up and stop acting like little children. It is stupid to behave this way.
Graham did not murder the raccoon, it was hit by a car and already dead when she found it.
