my special B.O.S.

I have been trying to find a bos that i like for years now. I have a basic 3 ring binder with MANY dividers. I never really liked it but it works so i never changed it and one day I was working in it and my two and five year old wanted to help me with it so i had then draw and color pretty pictures on my dividers and make my pages to use as the cover and now i love it to death

My current BOS

At the moment all I have for my BOS is a binder with protective covers filled with the pages. I have it separated into the BOS and what I like to call the Mirror Book, or MB The Mirror Book is where I put the stuff I need for my spells...I have it set up so that all I have to do is insert my spell of choice in the empty slot, and there is a whole ritual before and after the spell itself for easy reference. It's easier to me doing this than putting the same things in every spell...the opening, the closing, the consecration...etc. The BOS i'm putting together however, I've typed up my BOS on the computer and have a title page for it with a graphic I put together myself to make it unique to me, and I took the cardboard out of a binder and punched holes in it with a jack knife to match up with holes in binder paper, and I'm going to create my new BOS from scratch

My BOS

My BOS is more of a recipt book. Its a 100 sheet Journal size book i made myself. There is no real flow to except at the front where i keep the basics: My personal code of conduct, Color chart, Day and moon chart. The rest of the book I have the info i want to put in but i let the book decide where it should go. So it would look rather Chaotic if some were too look through it lol.

Two Books

I actually use two different books. My main BOS, the one with all my correspondences, rituals, and sacred texts is a black cloth zip binder. I put all my pages in plastic protectors and I separate all my stuff with tabbed dividers, like I would a school binder. It's great for adding and rearranging things. The binder also has a small file pocket folder where I put recipes for potions, incense, Sabbat- themed food and drink. It doesn't look "witchy" on the outside, but it's the best thing ever! Everything is organized and at my fingertips! My second BOS is a small, black leatherbound journal which is only for spells.

My BoS

When I first started a small bos it was like a diary with a triquetra on the front. Blessed Be Charmed! That got full with spells and info very face. I tried a loose leaf binder but felt I was back in High School. I found a web store that made them on special order. So I bit my tongue and ordered one. I truly love it. It has a triquetra and my magical name wood-burnedon the front and I have had many compliments on it. Me and my color printer have become very close friends. As well as Wal-Mart for more cartridges(ink). The pages are in protective plastic covers and are in sections like a regular book would be. I have a table of contents, a dedication page, consecration rituals, dedication for god n goddess and then I followed the table of contents and filled it up. I took Paige's advice (Charmed) and put a post-it note on the pages I use the most. Not color coded though. I had to add more protective pages for future spells etc.

Mine

I love my book of shadows. It has a slate cover, and handpainted pictures of a tree and a full moon on it. It has gold-leaf on it too. I have started to fill it with crystal, colours and herbs correspondences (is that the right word) and the moon phases. I will add spells, but I really want to right my own, which I am struggling with at the minute. Anyone got any tips??? Thanks. Any help would be much appreciated!!!!

BOS

I dont think you should speak of your BOS. But I am a solitary witch, and I understand you explaining it, such personal stuff, should be silent about it. Pass it on after your gone.

BoS

I use three-ring binders. One for rituals, spells, and diety info, one for herb tables and recipes, and one for oils and recipes. I need to organize them better, maybe get a fourth one for interesting articles, etc. I've been a Witch since 1995:

My BOS

Mine was easy to make. I went to Borders, and bought a journal and I put everything in it, from my normal rites, to my Dragon Rites, to the Great Rite.

My BOS

I'm working on a new BOS because the three I have just don't flow right anymore. The new one is a blank journal made from recycled materials. The pages are recycled cotton clothes woven into sheets of paper. The cover was made from leather collected from an animal that was already naturally dead. I'm currently taking a "year and a day" class at a local shop and the things I'm learning there are going into my new BOS. The first half will be reference, the second will be spells, charms, recipes, rituals etc as they are written. So far it's coming along beautifully. I'm kind of doing a scrapbook setting on the pages. Printing images and glueing them in and doodling in empty spaces on the pages. Filling it with symbols of my craft and knowledge to be passed on to future generations as they learn the old ways. Blessings to all of you and your BOS. )o(

My BOS

The best way for me to keep everything in one place was actually to buy a photo album. I take index cards that fit into the pages and write what i need to in there. Its a great way for me because i can reorganize it easily and i can always add more photo pages in it. I write down nearly everything i learn, and everything is in a different section.

My Simple BoS

My BoS is simple. Its made of 100 percent recycled materials, thick watercolor paper, and earthy, henna brown covers. I use my favorite black ink pen to record spell, rituals, correspondence charts, etc... And illustrate it with crayon (I'm a child at heart). For the most part, its not really organized; I prefer creative chaos, and I add entries as I think of them and where I feel they flow easier... I feel that it should be a reflection of myself: simple, childlike, and neat. Blessed be and merry part.

My BOS

Hi there, I have been practising Wicca for 10 years now. My current BOS is a blank notebook which I had bought from a local stationery store. However, this is not my preferred choice of book - I am planning to purchase a specially made book, which is large enough and similar in appearence to the Practical Magic book (I love the style of the book and it will fit in with my requirements and what I believe in). So far, I have not written any spells or done any yet. I am a great believer that you need to have studied for a certain amount of time. I know that after 10 years I still do not feel ready to do any spells yet. Hope this helps. Blessed Be

BOS

I'm rather new at making my BOS but I use 2 books, one thats offical that has the rituals and spells I write and concretely make, and one thats random notebooks that help with the rough draft. I have put candle info, star info, drawn astral signs and runes in my drawing pad-BOS, and been recording any and all spells and info that have worked for me, or I need for herbs and such :). I save nature items like leaves-feathers.
