Our Litha Prayer

"Love, light, and bountiful beauty. God and Goddess, bring them to me. On this Midsummer day, we thank you for. Everything you've done, and more. Bless all on every Litha. May the God and Goddess always be with ya!"

Litha: The Festival of the Sun

Litha is the Anglo-Saxon word for moon, Yet it is a blessed sabbat in the month of June, At this time the Sun reigns in the sky, The radiant orb hangs up in the heavens, high, Litha heralds the arrival of the sacred summer, It is otherwise called Midsummer, It is a time to frolic and play in the glorious Sun, Summer is here and spring is done, Take a step outside and see the luscious green, Whisper prayers to the Lady, the Summer Queen, Feel Her divine presence in every flower, plant, and tree, Go to the beach and feel the caress of the sea, Our Lord is the King of the Sun, He is the Lord of the Summer, the Holly King that won, Bask in the warmth of His golden rays, As you spend time in nature on the longest day of days, Our Lady is with child from the Holy Union at Beltane, Oh Holy Lady, all of the world is Your domain, Our God is the fertile vegetation Lord, Our most sacred Gods are so ardently adored.

Kids Prayer

This is a prayer my kids say each year at Litha: "Middle of the year, we welcome the sun! The garden is growing and we have fun! Everything's sunny and everything's bright at this season of love and light."
