Advice I Was Given, and By Whom
Living in a small midwest town, I actually didn't have anybody to give me advice. I only had books and the internet. Working through the websites made by those who were only looking for attention versus those who were genuine was difficult. However the one thing that seemed universal as that religion is personal.
We all must do things our way. The only wrong way is that which causes others harm.
Why They Gave it To Me
Well, honestly it wasn't given specifically by one person. However I do like to think that those who are out there in the public eye, those who take the time to write the books and maintain the websites do so to help those who were like me; who have little to no support network in or around their home.
Lessons Learned
- That with Paganism, there is no one right way. So long as no one is being harmed, continue what you're doing and enjoy it.
- Have fun! Paganism is not a solemn religion on the whole, so enjoy yourself.
- I, for one, try too hard. I try to make thing just perfect which detracts from the specialness of the occasion.
- Don't worry about what other's think. It'll just hold you back.
How This Advice Impacted My Life as a Pagan
I feel a lot closer to Deity now and am a lot more comfortable in my spirituality.
