What's On My Altar

My altar is pretty simple. I have my black altar cloth covered with a tarot cloth to bring in some season colors. I added a circle of black and orange candles to set a mood as well as to bring color. For a pentacle, I used a plate that was sent to me when I was deployed because of the fall like scene on it. I also included one of my tarot decks, a copy of the obituary from my grandmothers passing, and picture of my husbands uncle who crossed over. There is also a "silly" pin that I included to honor my brothers and sisters in arms who have crossed over. I also included a copy of a poem I found called A Pagan Farewell

How I Celebrated Samhain

My celebration was simple. I enjoyed the nice weather outside and enjoyed the cool wind and the color of the leaves. Setting my alter up was the biggest celebration in that it helped me to remember to think about those who have been lost in my life.

  • Use what you have, and dont be ashamed of what you dont have. Its not about what you have, but the thought you put into it.
