A Ceremonial Feast

A Ceremonial Feast!

What's On My Altar

For my coven's Lammas ritual, I set up a food altar. Everything on the altar was harvested from the garden of coven members, and we used homemade bread to do the Lammas Harvest Ritual. The orange candle symbolizes the Harvest Mother, and the wheat was used in the ceremony - I also sent a few stalks home with each member of the group as a reminder that we do indeed reap what we have sown.

How I Celebrated Lammas/Lughnasadh

We performed the Lammas Harvest Ritual and took some time to honor the spirit of the grain. We also did a meditation focusing on the symbolism of life, death, and rebirth as applied to the harvest season.

Tips and Tricks

  • Invite each member of the group to bring something to contribute to the altar. Once your ceremony is over, feast on the food that everyone has contributed!
