What's On My Altar
In addition to my regular altar items, for Imbolc I add my Bridhes cross I made; spring flowers; the manikin head has by Imbolc candle crown it that I wear for a few minutes during ritual; red cloth for fire aspects; cheese and bread for libation; and milk in the blessing cup. I typically use red, white and green candles: red for fire, white for the goddess and the passing winter, green for growth the coming spring
How I Celebrated Imbolc
I typically celebrate at home, in the years past I have had ritual alone, but this year my husband and infant son will join in. My ritual changes year to year but after ritual I greet each room with a lit candle and welcome in the coming sun.
Tips and Tricks
- if you make a candle crown, burn/wear only with another person present
