About My Tattoo
This is my Greenman. He is located on my upper right arm and was by done by Spyder at Animated Canvas in Columbia, SC.
Why I Chose It
I am Wiccan and love to be in the forest. Hiking, backpacking, and camping are some of my favorite activities. Therefore, I felt the Greenman was an appropriate image for a tattoo. I put a great deal of thought into the design. I chose seven specific species of tree for their mystical properties and had Spyder include at least one representation of each in the final design.
Tips and Tricks
- Be sure to put some thought into the image you choose. Choose something that will mean as much to you in twenty years as it does right now. In my opinion names, dates, etc. are likely bad ideas. Also, keep in mind you get what you pay for. Good tattoos are expensive for a reason. I recommend not taking the easy or cheap way out but take your time, save your money, and go to a reputable artist who will do a good job. You will be much happier in the long run.
