To keep track of temperatures, place the outdoor thermometer in a place where you'll be able to check it each day. Try to keep it in an area that doesn't receive direct sunlight, but isn't too shady either. Have your kids check the temperature in the morning, midday, and evening. Write down the results in your notebook, and see if you or your kids can predict weather trends. Will it be warm tomorrow? Will it start out chilly and then get even colder?
