Disclaimer: The spells contained on this website are collected from years of personal experience, folk magic traditions, and various occult sources where noted. They are posted with the intention of being helpful to those who are looking for spell resources, and may need to be adjusted to fit your individual need. Please bear in mind that if your particular belief system prohibits you from casting certain types of spells, you should probably not do so—however, it's important to recognize that not all magical traditions follow the same set of guidelines when it comes to spellwork. Okay, now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's get started!

The Money Mojo Bag

This very basic money-attraction bag works on the theory that like attracts like—to put it simply, money attracts more money. Feel free to change the wording of the spell to suit your own needs if necessary—it's a bit fluffy and simplistic, but it's worked for me in the past. As always, use your best judgment. You will need the following items:

  • A silver candle and a gold candle
  • A small cloth pouch with a drawstring
  • A handful of play money (either bills or coins) of different denominations
  • A taglock (magical link) for yourself (hair, nail clippings, etc)
  • Ginger (for power and success)
  • Nutmeg (for prosperity)

Prepare your workspace as you normally do—if you wish to cast a circle, go ahead. Light the two silver candles on either side of your space, so that you are working between them. As you light them say:

"Gold and silver, silver and gold, make money come and dollars unfold."

Place your play money and the taglock into the bag. As you do this, think about yourself and the money being together. You might even rub the magical link and the money against each other as you place them in the mojo bag. Say:

"Cast from necessity, not from greed, all I'm asking is for what I need."

Place the ginger and the nutmeg in the bag, and focus on success and prosperity coming your way.

Hold the bag in your hands and say:

"Tens and twenties, fives and ones, as I will, it shall be done."

Now, take a moment to think about what you will do with the money that comes your way. Will you use it to get out debt? Pay a bill? Have a little bit of extra grocery money? Allow the candles to burn out on their own. Place the bag in a safe place where it will be undisturbed, and out of sight.

Simple Money Spell for Kids

This very basic money spell is an easy one—so easy that kids can do it, although adults have some degree of success with it as well. Like the Money Mojo Bag, this works on the theory that like attracts like—money attracts more money. Feel free to change the wording to better suit your needs if you wish to do so. You will need the following:

  • A square of green paper
  • Nine pennies
  • An envelope

Do this spell outside, under a tree. Take the piece of paper and write on it how much money you would like to have come your way—although you can put any amount there, be realistic and reasonable. Fold the paper three times, and then place it in the envelope. Add the pennies. Say:

"Nine cents to make prosperity flow. Nine pennies to multiply, nine pennies to grow."

Seal the envelope, and draw a dollar sign on the outside. Bury the envelope under the tree (be careful not to get too close to the roots!), and cover up the hole. Ask the tree to keep watch over your pennies, and money should start coming your way soon.

Make Your Own Money Soap

Make up a batch of money soap to help bring prosperity your way. You'll need the following items:

Glycerin soap base
Green food coloring
Equal parts three of the following:

Optional:

  • A shredded dollar bill
  • Gold flakes

Melt the soap base in a double boiler, following manufacturer's instructions. Select your three herbs and blend together equal parts.

Use a mortar and pestle to grind them down as much as possible. Add them into your melted soap. Add one or two drops of green food coloring—but don't overdo it, because a little food coloring goes a long way!

If you'd like to use gold flakes or strips of a shredded dollar bill, add them now.

Pour melted soap into prepared molds, and place them in a cool place to harden. Allow soaps to sit at least twenty-four hours before removing from the molds. Wash your hands with this soap to bring prosperity into your life, or use in a ritual bath. Another fun idea is to wrap the soaps in paper, tie with a pretty ribbon or piece of raffia, and give them as gifts to friends.

As you blend the oils, visualize your intent, and take in the aroma. Know that this oil is sacred and magical. Label, date, and store in a cool, dark place. Use your money oil to dress candles or anoint other items that you'll be using in money magic, talismans and charms, or rituals.
