Winter is still pounding away at many of us, and this month's full moon is known as the Quickening Moon. It's the time of year when new life may be beginning, but it still lies dormant. Pregnant animals, due in the spring, begin to feel the quickening of their unborn young. The earth itself is coming back to life as seeds beneath the soil begin their journey towards the sun. We know these things are coming -- and we know also that this is a good month to make plans for the future.
Correspondences for the Quickening Moon include crystals such as rose quartz, amethyst, and jasper, and the deities Brighid and Aphrodite. Magical workings this month should focus on personal achievements and advancement, new beginnings, and new relationships.

Our Temple got together last night and cast a spell for magic, to help us swim and float through time as we are trying to put together and take part in a huge mayday festival a first for us…it was beautiful. I am pregnant, and the Highpriestess, and I was reading the point of the moon, and about the quickening…and my baby boy was just as active as could be last night…now I know why.
I am also glad to see we utilized the power of this moon to our advantage.
yep..I have already started plans for my gardens and flower beds.
I bought dirt for pots and flower beds.. seeds not all but a start. Moonflowers, lettuce, morning glories, comos, I still have left over Cosmos seeds from last crop I gather those just in case..of the winter conditions… and put in the ground in the spring. this year will I will do those and some pink ones I bought..and I got a Rosemary plant. I not done yet still have to get more herbs.
