Meet Vodou Priestess Sallie Glassman

Thanks to FrenchFryQuarter for sending this one my way. There's a great interview in the New Orleans Times Picayune with Sallie Ann Glassman, who's recently become well known because she's Joan Rivers' Vodou priestess. She first met Rivers when the comedienne needed someone to rid her New York house of unpleasant spirits, and the two then struck up a friendship. It's actually a really well done interview, and Glassman is interesting - I'd love to sit over a cup of hot tea and pick her brain.

If Glassman's name sounds familiar to you beyond the Joan Rivers connection, she made the news about two years ago when she helped to rescue her mentor, eighty-year-old Edgard Jean Louis, from the ruins of Haiti's devastating earthquake.
