Just a quick update on last week's discovery of a wooden "sister site" at Stonehenge - the folks at National Geographic have posted some nifty images of the newly found site, as well as a bit of background on the technology used to make the find. Interestingly, no digging was required because researchers used ground-penetrating imaging instruments at the site.
Vince Gaffney, an archaeologist at the University of Birmingham, said, "This finding is remarkable ... It will completely change the way we think about the landscape around Stonehenge."
