Happy Mabon to You!

Oh, this is absolutely my favorite time of year! The leaves are turning colors and falling from the trees, I've got apples galore in a basket, fat squash in my garden, and the evenings are cool enough that I can wrap up in a blanket and enjoy the chilly air. It's Mabon, the time of the second harvest, and a season of balance. Take a few moments today to reflect on the blessings and abundance you have in your life -- focus on gratitude for what you've got, and don't waste time fretting about what you're missing. If you're looking to regain your equilibrium a bit, now's a great day to work on it -- after all, today we'll have equal amounts of darkness and daylight. May all of you have a wonderful and abundant celebration today.

If you're one of our Southern Hemisphere readers, today is the day of the spring equinox in your part of the world, which means it's time to celebrate Ostara. Also a time of balance, Ostara focuses not on the fading of the earth but on the renewal and resurrection of life. Enjoy your day, and welcome back the blessings of spring!

This is also my most favorite time of the year! Like you I love seeing the leaves change color and the temps get just right for a nice hot cup of tea. Mabon began a day earlier than last year – its a good thing I was looking for information about it today!

Like you said I intend to celebrete by celebrating what I am thankful for.

I also know that this is the time of season when one should prepare for the winter to come and that is exactly what I am going to do!

this is my favourite time of the year as well, crispy weather, warm enough to enjoy the outdoors but cool enough to snuggle into a sweater! i’ve been busy kitchen witching the past week, canning and dehydrating everything in sight!! however, my garden didn’t do too well, as my beloved goats got into it and ate my squash, my pumpkins, my beans, some of my herbs… sigh… but i am thankful for my goats, as they are lovely!! (have to work on the fencing…sigh..!) i’m grateful for so many blessings, and (goddess willing) will be somewhat prepared for the colder days ahead…!!
