Solar Eclipse July 22

Depending on where in the world you live, you might get a treat this week. On Wednesday, July 22, there will be a total solar eclipse visible in a narrow corridor along India, China, and a few other parts of Asia. People who live elsewhere may be able to see it as a partial eclipse.

A solar eclipse takes place when the moon passes between the earth and the sun. Unlike a lunar eclipse, a solar eclipse requires special equipment to watch safely, but it's still a good time for magical workings, even if you're not watching it. Think of it as the perfect alignment of three very big, very powerful bodies.

Strong with masculine energy, the sun was honored by many ancient cultures. Called Ra, Helios, Svarog, or any number of other names, the sun is the fire aspect in the sky. A solar eclipse signals great change and transition, so if there's something you want to see manifest, get to work! Are you hoping to get a new job? Looking for an end to something unpleasant in your life? Trying to drop a bad habit? Start planning, then, because the dawn of a solar eclipse is a time of powerful energy!

it’s kinda funny how the Solar eclipse is just a day before the pagan holiday of Perun
I’m not planing on doing any ritual work on that day but probably just watch the eclipse
but maybe I shall do some ritual anyway
by the way – Svarog is the God of the sky in Slavic tradition why it is Dazbog who is associated with the sun
and Horus is much more likely to be THE solar Deity rather then Ra or Amon
have fun =D don’t OD on the alcohol XD

Actually I disagree. Horus is only associated with the sun in regards to him being the sky god and one of his eyes being the sun and the other the moon where Ra is directly associated with the sun especially at mid day when it is at it’s apex. So Ra would be more the sun god and Horus the sky god.

Does anyone know whether a solar eclipse would negate the effects of a spell done this evening? Thanks.

I was wondering if the Solar eclips would have anything to do with how one feels. I am a fire element and found this day in particular to be toally exhuasting. I usually look forward to ritual work and such.. My readings were good but I was just so drained today..
