More Holiday Help for Pagan Troops
Friday November 21, 2008
The Yule season approaches, and the Wiccan Interfaith Council needs your help -- their Project We Care is an ongoing program that sends packages of goodies to Pagan, Heathen and Wiccan troops stationed overseas. Coordinator Paulette Reynolds says they need donations of books and ritual supplies, as well as funds to cover shipping ($9 per box). Other items needed include: candles, incense, stones, Tarot decks, altar cloths, music and jewelry. Also, if you live in the area, the WICI Illiana Chapter will be boxing up donations on Saturday, December 13, so you may want to get in touch and see if they need a hand with packing.
Between WICI and the folks at Operation Circle Care, hopefully we can all help these brave men and women have a happy and blessed Yule. If you know of any other organization that is putting together packages or assistance for Pagan and Wiccan soldiers, let me know and I'll post it here on the blog!

Thank you so much Patti, for letting us know that there are organizations out there that speak for Pagan Warriors at home. There are more than they realize and it’s not uncommon to see Druid symbols, Celtic Crosses, Thor’s hammer’s, Symbols of Odin, Venus Stars and Symbols of the Goddess on Warrior’s gear for protection.
Just because some people want to remove “God” from everything we have (i.e. money, federal buildings, military motto’s and creed’s etc..) that doesn’t mean that we can’t mean Goddess when we say God as well. Our code is: God, Country, Corps. To me…it still means God & Goddess…and thats fine with me.
Blessed Yule to everyone!
