Happy Beltane to Our Southern Hemisphere Readers!
Friday October 31, 2008
For those of you below the Equator, this is Beltane. It's the time of year when you can smell the greening of the earth, as life begins to return to the land. It's a day to plant flowers, to celebrate fire and fertility and passion. It's the time when the earth mother opens up to the fertility god, and their union brings about healthy livestock, strong crops, and new life all around. For many, it's a time to conceive not only new life, but also new ideas and plans for the future. Think about what seeds you're going to plant in your life, so that in the fall, a few months from now, you'll reap the bounty of your own personal harvest. May all of you have a prosperous and blessed Beltane!
