Kids Study Magical Medicine in Aberdeen
Friday July 25, 2008
Millions of children have read the Harry Potter books and wished they could attend Hogwarts -- heck, I'm supposedly an adult and I wish I could go to Hogwarts. Anyway, a group of students in Aberdeen recently had a chance to learn about the magic of plants. As part of Aberdeen University's Planet Plant project, kids had the opportunity to discover the healing properties of various plants, as well as learn about owls and other Potter-inspired goodies. What a blast this must have been for these kids! For more information, you can visit the Magical Medicines website.

lolol….I want to go to Hogwarts too.
Going to Hogwarts would be awesome, lol! I recently purchased a book about the magical properties of herbs… I plan on putting it to use soon.
Awesome…getting kids involved and teaching the concept of medicinal herbs is a great thing…how many of them could continue on to teach the future generations the value of plant medicine!!!… whether they embrace the magickal ideals or not…we will all be needing basic herbal treatments in the near future…once the current field of medicine has it’s breakdown…the natural cures will be the ONLY treatments worthy of mass consumption…there will be NO Pharmacutical companies dolling out drugs that do basically nothing….we will have seen the light…the ancient, time tested herbs will be the answers we search for in the very near future…kudos to teaching our youngsters of their importance…Harry Potter/magickal related or not….there is a new world vision opening and our children have to answer the call….
Good Eve all,
This is a great idea, they learn that nature is not scary if you know how to look, and that humanity and nature are interconnected; polute the wild places and you yourself cannot heal.
Go Aberdeen!
Harry Potter encourages reading, so why ban them? *confuzed!*
