Dorset Group Hopes to Unite Pagans & Christians
Saturday March 29, 2008
Some Wiccan/Pagan news from Dorset, UK: Local Druid Ian Temple is putting together a new group that welcomes Pagans and Christians to get together. While this may seem like a recipe for disaster to some folks, Temple is confident the open invitation to The Dorset Grove will appeal to anyone with an open mind and a sense of enlightenment. Some forty or so members have already joined. While there has been a bit of online snarking about the potential for invasion by fundamentalists, it's important to remember that Pagans don't have a monopoly on being open to new ideas. Many Christians are respectful of the beliefs of others, even if they don't necessarily agree with them.
There are already a number of Pagan groups in Dorset and the surrounding area, and some of them appear to have open policies. Temple says part of the goal of his group is to facilite unity and communication between Christians and Pagans. If you live in the area and would like more information, you can contact Temple through the group's website at Dorset Grove.
